Cons of Technology Advancements: The Ambiguity Surrounding Earthquake Forecasts

We acknowledge that technology has brought about a massive revolution in people's lives, but its use also has negative effects. At times, individuals fail to consider the unfavorable consequences associated with it.

One such instance is the earthquake prediction made by a Dutch scientist. Although it was merely a forecast and we cannot precisely measure it, it still had adverse impacts on people's lives for perhaps only a short time. We can take precautionary measures whenever there is a storm or flood in an area; however, earthquake predictions are just that - forecasts- which means they are uncertain regarding their accuracy. Therefore, we do not know what to do or how to act since these events are uncontrollable and unpredictable; we have no accurate knowledge of which areas will be affected more than others.

Is releasing earthquake predictions online legitimate or ethically correct?

Pakistan is currently experiencing one of the worst economic disasters of its era; everyone is worried about how to earn their livelihoods as inflation rises. The educational community is leaving the country seeking better survival options while many from very poor family backgrounds have lost their lives in tragic Greece Boat accidents. Those Pakistani areas that were affected by floods still require urgent help: one female caretaker told me her story stating that she came from district Rajanpur and moved here due to our areas being badly hit by flooding. During this time, those who remain in Pakistan suffer mentally and economically since they cannot live properly.

When the Dutch scientist predicted strong catastrophic earthquakes for Pakistan publicly, people became disturbed wondering whether Pakistan would be able to withstand such an eventuality even though we firmly believe in Allah's mercy preventing such occurrences from happening again ever again.

The question arises concerning who gave them consent to share such information publicly? 

It should have been shared confidentially with respective institutions capable of taking further action upon receiving such news instead of making public announcements causing panic among citizens already suffering.

Even our media attempted spreading terror among masses despite Chief Meteorologist commendable responses when faced with similar situations before now! Now is an appropriate moment for us all collectively as responsible members within society worldwide globally alike ourselves stand together united regardless nationalities differences ethnicities religions beliefs etcetera thinking first foremost always putting peoples' health at forefront refusing put unnecessary pressure on human life under any circumstances whatsoever!
